Aahana's Bharatanatyam Journey

In the sacred Guru–Shishya tradition of Alarippu Dance School
Aahana’s Bharatanatyam journey began in early childhood, blossoming into a path of discipline, devotion, and artistic growth under the transformative guidance of her Guru, Smt. Radhika Dinesh, Artistic Director of Alarippu Dance School.
While her first steps in Bharatanatyam were initiated in 2016 under Smt. Snigdha Venkatraman (Layadhwani Dance School), it was after joining Alarippu Dance School in 2018 that Aahana’s training deepened profoundly within the classical Pandanallur bani. Under Guru Radhika’s nurturing mentorship, Aahana was shaped not only as a dancer but also in grace, discipline, stagecraft, and spiritual connection to the art, culminating in her Arangetram.
Through years of recitals, temple performances, thematic productions, and collaborative works, Guru Radhika provided Aahana rare opportunities, including dancing alongside her Guru, performing with live orchestra, portraying divine roles, and sharing stage with legendary maestros. Each milestone reflects the Guru’s dedicated molding of her disciple.
