Beginnings: from screen to stage
From her debut in a Walmart Ad in Dec 2013 to her first dance class at The Dance Zone in Feb 2014, these early milestones marked the beginning of Aahana’s beautiful journey in dance
First Applause
From her very first recital on June 21, 2014, to a spirited performance at the Music in the Park series that September, Aahana’s early stage experiences ignited her love for performing. Her appearance in the December holiday parade further marked the beginning of her dedication to dance
Rising with confidence
Aahana’s competitive journey began with her first dance convention in Jan 2015. After joining Dance Effect in February, she stepped onto the Hollywood competition stage in April 2016, earning her first award in Feb 2016
Expanding horizons, mastering new forms
2016 marked a transformative year, a Disney performance experience, her move to No Cal Dance Arts, and the beginning of her Bharatanatyam training in October, setting the stage for her classical journey
Bharatanatyam debut and diverse talents
From performing in Madurai R. Muralidharan Sir’s show in October 2016 to her Bharatanatyam debut in April 2017, Aahana’s classical path began to flourish. That year, she also embraced gymnastics and music, enriching her artistic growth
Beyond dance: a multi-talented artist
Aahana’s journey extends beyond dance. From publishing her first book and earning a 2nd-place Author Award across Stratford schools to songwriting, drama, robotics, film, scholarships, and even horseback riding, her path reflects a fearless curiosity and love of learning
Triumphs in academics and performing arts
In 2018, Aahana celebrated both academic and artistic growth, winning the Battle of the Books, performing Carnatic music on stage, and beginning her Bharatanatyam training under Guru Smt. Radhika Dinesh, while deepening her learning through workshops
World records and emerging leadership
From contributing to Asia and Guinness World Record achievements to being honored as a Presidential Award student in middle school, Aahana’s journey reflects determination and discipline. Her initiative to start her own dance school further showcases her passion, leadership, and commitment to the arts
Global stage: hip hop champion
